Colourful mixed media collages made of original paintings and photographs taken by Artist Rachael Grad. These collage paintings include original photographs taken by Rachael Grad and painted scenes in acrylic. The broken pieces of collage symbolize the illusion of memory and probe what is real versus what is remembered. Fragments of memory are reflected in cut up photographs and painted moments. The artist edits the photographs, prints them and either transfers or cut and pastes them by hand onto painted wood panel.
