Then and Now Art Show at Brandeis University
The “Then and Now” art show curated by Andrea Soloway and Alison Judd celebrates Brandeis University’s 75th anniversary. The group art exhibition includes two of my artworks and is on view until April 2024. My “Then” painting is “Confusion” (1994), acrylic on canvas and my “Now” painting is “After the Plague Party” (2023), ink on paper. It was wonderful to see so many esteemed alumni and Brandeis President Rom Leibowitz and his wife Jessica attend the October 13th art opening.
The “Then and Now” art show features artworks by eight Brandeis alumni artists, one from each the University’s eight decades. The art exhibition is on view in the Wien Faculty Centre at Brandeis University until April 2024. As you enter the Wien Faculty Centre, visitors see the names of the eight artists in the “Then and Now” art show at Brandeis University. The artists in the show are Diana Kurz ’57, Fran Forman ’67, Rachel Siporin ’75, Deborah, Klotz ’84, Rachael Grad ’99, Ryan Pressman ’06, Orli Swergold ’18, and Vicente Cayuela ’22. Each artist has an artwork from the decade they attended Brandeis and a current piece in the show. The art show is curated by Andrea Soloway ‘89 and Alison Beker Judd ’04, PB’05. The art opening and exhibition were sponsored by the Brandeis Alumni Association.
In my second and final year in the Master of Fine Art graduate program at York University, I may not post as frequently to this Art Blog. I will continue trying to send out my art newsletters every month or 2. You can join my art VIPArt List here (or click here to learn more).
